Hail Damage: El Nino

hail damageAt this time of the year, it is always important to remember to keep up with any storm damage caused to your home. This year is a little different than most in that there have been a lot of storms that have passed through the area. Thunderstorms come through this area ever year but the low pressure systems seem to have moved farther south than usual. This might be an indication that there is an El Nino forming. That has been the forecast from many climatologist and the El Nino affects weather throughout the country.
When the El Nino forms, a mass of warm water from the Western Pacific and Indian Oceans move towards South America. You might think that because this is situated below the equator that it would not have an effect on the U.S., but this is not the case. When the El Nino moves in it changes weather patterns all over the world. In the case of North America storm systems move south and bring thunderstorms and hail damage. Hail damage from these types of storms can be quite severe and may even cause enough damage that would require you to hire a roofing contractor.
